Islamia University of Bahawalpur admission 2014 in MPhil/MS/LLM/MSc (Hons) & PhD Admissions for Spring Semester 2014 The Islamia University of Bahawalpur invites applications on prescribed forms for admission to master and PHD programs.
Eligibilty: Master of Philosophy) (MPhil)
MPhil/MS/MSc (Hons): Mastcr Degree (sixteen years of education or equivalent at least with second class annual system or 2.50 CGPA in semester system (in relevant subject or major subject) recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
2) LLM: 2nd class LLB at least with second class in annual system or 2.50 CGPA in semester system.
3) Valid GAT (General) result conducted by NTS with a minimum 50 marks.
4) Those who have not already qualified the GAT (General) will have to appear in IUB Special GAT-General test to be conducted by NTS on 26-01-2014 (Sunday)
5) In addition to GAT (General), subject test will also be conducted by the respective departments for admission to MS in Botany, Zoology (Department of Life Sciences) MS in Biochemistry, Biotechnology (Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology), MPhil in Analytical Chemistry, Bio Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry (Department of Chemistry), MPhil in Mathematics (Department of Mathematics) on 31-01-2014 (Friday).
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
i) MPhil (Eighteen years of education or equivalent in the relevant subject) recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan with at least 3.00 CGPA in semester system or 65% marks in case of annual system.
ii) The candidates should have qualified GRE (International subject (where applicable) with 60% percentile or GAT subject conducted by NTS with 60% cumulative score before admission.
iii) PhD course work followed by comprehensive examination is pre-requisite for ABD (all but dissertation) status.
iv) NO special GAT subject test for admission in PhD will be arranged by the University.

Admission Procedure
Application/Admission forms/Online Challan can be downloaded from the University Web Site IUB.edu.pk
However, a Bank Challan of Rs. 200/- must be attached with downloaded form/online Challan. The candidates are also required to deposit Rs. 500/- as application processing fee.
The Candidates desired to appear in the IUB Special GAT-General Test are required to deposit Rs. 900/- for GAT General test through online bank deposit slip in the online branches of MCB, UBL, HBL, or ABL.
The applications complete in all respects should reach “One Window Admissions” at the office of the Advanced Studies & Research Board by 15-01-2014 (Wednesday) during office hours.
Application forms received after due date will not be entertained.
