Applications are invited on prescribed admission forms for M. Phil leading to PhD Programme (Spring Semester 2014) in the following disciplines:

1 Anatomy                      2.Pharmacology                        3. Hematology      4. Physiology

6. Microbiolgy               7. Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology

IBMS was established to produce highly skilled and trained faculty for various disciplines of Basic Medical

Sciences. The students of this program will have the opportunity to be employed as teachers in various

Medical and Dental colleges who are facing accute shortage of these teachers.

Scholarships will be available to the students from various sources like HEC,  USAID. and KMU own Financial Assistance Program.

Programme: MPHIL LEADING TO PHD

1. MBBS /BDS Degree recognized by PMDC in relevant discipline with 1st division or  CGPA of 2.5 on the scale of 4.00 from HEC recognized university/ degree awarding institution.

2. For Microbiology BS (four years) in Microbiology. For Biochemistry B.S (four years) in Biochemistry and For Pharmacology. D. Pharma are also eligible.

3. The GAT-General conducted by NTS with a minimum of 50% cumulative score. Those candidates who have not passed GAT-General test can also apply but they will have to clear the test within one year; otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

4. Not more than two 2nd Divisions and with no 3rd Division in the academic career.

1. Application on prescribed form available on KMU website www.kmu.edupk along with a Bank receipt of Rs. 1000/-. (application processing fee) non-refundable. duly deposited in (Account No.1450-8. National Bank of Pakistan Hayatabad Township Br:( 1759) Peshawar) in favor of Khyber Medical University  should reach to office of the Director Institute of Basic Medical Sciences. Strcct No. 1O. Sector F-l. Phase-6. Near Shalman Park Hayatahad. Peshawar on or before last date of submission of admission forms.

2. Age limit up to 35 years on closing date.
