BZU Food Sciences & Technology Admission 2013

BZU announced Food Sciences & Technology Admission 2013.It is BSC (HONS) evening program.





The Department
The Department of Food Science has established state of the art laboratories and food processing hall for a wide range of analytical tests and the production and processing of food products for academic and commercial purposes. The Department has won many research grants from donor agencies like HEC, PSF etc. A conducive academic and research environment prevails in the Department.
The Faculty
Currently, the Department has 05 permanent faculty members, four of whom are PhD degree holders with an extensive teaching and research experience at local and international level alongside a team of highly skilled lab and food processing personnel for practical demonstration. Visiting faculty of the Department comprises experienced teachers both from the University and outside institutions.
Employment Opportunities
Employment opportunities for Food Scientists include positions in the food and allied industries, government agencies,and educational and research institutions. Graduates qualify for supervisory, technical, applied research, sales and executive positions in processing, quality assurance, process development, product development, marketing in food and food-related industries. In addition to a wide array of job opportunities, a Food Science graduate qualifies for being a Food Engineer, Applied Food Researcher, Food microbiologist, Food Safety Specialist, Production Manager, Product Development Scientist, Quality Assurance Managers, Consumer Educator, Nutritionist and Dietitian etc.


Eligibility
At least 45% marks in F.Sc. Pre-Engineering/F.Sc. Pre-Medical or O Level. (2 seats are reserved for DAE in Food Technology)
Merit
Basic criteria + 20 marks of Hifz-e-Quran

Important: Applications for Admission:
Must be submitted to Department of Food Science & Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Technology
Prospectus are available from the Habib Bank Ltd University Campus Branch, Board Branch and UBL Campus Branch on Payment of Rs. 500/- from 20-09-2013.
Candidates not holding Pakistani Nationality shall route their applications through the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
Applications complete in all respects must reach the Department of Food Science and Technology by 4.00 pm on 07 October, 201 3.
Incomplete applications and applications received after due date and time shall not be entertained even though posted earlier.
Furthermore, those applications which are wrongly addressed or delivered at a place other than the respective Office of the Department shall also not be entertained .The merit lists of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice
